About the Author

Vera Adjin was born in the small town of Apowa, Ghana, West Africa, where life presented its share of challenges. Growing up, Vera experienced firsthand the struggles of rural living, including the daily task of walking an 8-mile round trip to fetch water for her family. Despite these hardships, Vera’s determination and resilience shaped her character and aspirations.

In 1965, Vera began her formal education, attending elementary school in her hometown. Her journey of growth and learning took a significant turn when she migrated to the United States. Once there, she pursued her academic goals with passion and diligence, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a university in New Jersey.

Vera’s experiences in both Ghana and the USA have deeply influenced her storytelling, imbuing her work with themes of perseverance, humility the value of education. Her background as a nurse and her rich cultural heritage are evident in her writing, as she weaves tales that inspire and captivate readers from all walks of life.
